I absolutely love the desert. It wasn't until I came back home from New Zealand last year that I really realized how much I love it! This is a place called San Pedro de Atacama in northern Chile, and it's the driest place on Earth. The town itself was very touristy, but had more more of an atmosphere than other places I've been to so far in Chile. I loved being in the sun, enjoying the warmth, and seeing the beautiful landscape, which had lots of active volcanoes around.
I just tried posting pictures but the interent connection here isn't the best, so I will do it later.
Right now I am at a cafe in Antofagasta, making my way back up to Peru. I just spend 4 hours on the bus, and have about another 20 to go. Yay merrily yay. It's okay, though. The next one leaves at night, so hopefully I'll be able to sleep for part of the way. After that, I plan to look for another place to live in Peru. I hope I can find a good place. Well, I must be going! Tata for now!
